This Privacy Policy explains what information suoflix ("we", "us") collects when you use this media portal and the streaming service it provides, how we use it, and the choices you have. suoflix is a small, invite-only service operated by an individual, not a large company.
Information we collect
- Account details - the email address and username you register with, and a securely hashed version of your password (we never store your password in plain text).
- Subscription & billing - your plan, add-ons, and payment history. Card payments are processed by Square; your full card number never reaches our servers. We retain only limited billing metadata such as the card brand, last four digits, and the date and amount of each payment.
- Streaming activity - what is played on your account (titles, start/stop times, device and app, play method, and the IP address of the session). We use this to run the service, enforce concurrent-stream limits, provide support, and prevent abuse or account sharing.
- Technical data - IP addresses and basic request information, plus the cookies described below.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and provide access to the media server.
- To process payments and keep your subscription up to date.
- To send service messages - for example welcome, payment, and account notices.
- To enforce plan limits and protect the service against abuse and unauthorised access.
- To respond to your support requests.
Cookies
We use a small number of strictly functional cookies: an authentication cookie that keeps you signed in, and a preference cookie that remembers your chosen colour theme. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the providers needed to run the service:
- Square - to process card payments securely.
- Our email provider - to deliver the service emails described above.
- The Emby media server - which hosts your media account and streams.
We may also disclose information if required to do so by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we remove or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we need to retain limited records (such as payment history) to meet legal or accounting obligations.
Security
Passwords are stored using strong one-way hashing, traffic is served over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and optional two-factor authentication is available on your account. No online service can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Your choices and rights
You can view and update your email, username, password, and plan from your account page at any time. You may request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account by contacting us through the support page. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable data-protection law.
Children
This service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age required by law in their country to consent to online services.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above. Significant changes may also be communicated by email.
